I was just about to point out this native plant in full flower whilst leading a walk and someone spotted a frog and everyone was instantly distracted. It’s not the most showy of wildflowers (that’s putting it politely) but it is interesting and the low blue-grey foliage can be found scattered amongst the sand dunes from South Gare along to Saltburn. I wasn’t bitter about the frog incident…just think I ought to make that clear in case anyone was thinking otherwise or feeling guilty about shrieking “A FROG!” at the top of their voice. Whatevs.
