The common name of this plant should always be said out loud when you spot it – doesn’t matter what company you are with it is totally allowed. There were a few plants by the roadside at South Gare but that’s about it along the Cleveland Coast; there’s more to the north near Hartlepool and you can sometimes find it as a garden plant.
