A proper seaside annual – in the summer you can find its lovely lilac flowers all along the top of the long stretch of sandy beaches from South Gare to Saltburn and then again at the surprisingly secluded beach at Skinningrove. The succulent leaves look a bit like the rocket you eat in salads.
