When it flowers it looks like dark red bobbles about waist high on skinny stalks and is long known at The Stray near the cafe and we also saw it over at Hummersea on the cliff top. The books always say this is found in damp grassland, but sometimes when I see it growing on drier spots I suspect it can’t read and so doesn’t know.
