The hawkweeds take time to identify properly, preferably with them in front of you as well as a good reference book. If you are interested I would recommend ‘Yorkshire Hawkweeds’ by Vincent Jones and start at South Gare, as the dunes are practically turned yellow when the hawkweeds are in flower.
