Coastal Wildflowers Photographic Competition
Competition winners
In 2015 we ran a coastal wildflower photographic competition and photographic exhibition. We had over 100 high quality entries into the competition.
We all gathered at the Palace Hub Gallery on the Esplanade, Redcar, on Sunday 25th October for the private view and the handing out of prizes for our Cleveland Coast Photography competition.
It was a great way to meet up with all the local people who had been on the guided walks with us.
Jeremy, the Tees Valley Wildlife Trust’s Chief Executive, said a few words and John, the Chairman of the Trustees, gave out the prizes after Kate had announced them.
Mark (from Palace Arts) and I (Martin) gave comments on the photos as the awards were announced, explaining what we liked about them and why they were so good.
Thank you to everyone who entered and supported the project – here’s a picture of all the prize-winners that were there (or their grand-parents).
All the photographs of the event were taken by Mark and Nel Hickson of Palace Arts and they also arranged the exhibition and printed the competition photos – a very big thank you to them.
The funding for the competition prizes and trophies was made possible through donations to the Tees Valley Community Foundation from the Tees Offshore Community Benefit Fund provided by EDF Energy Renewables.
